Depending on your skills and experience, you could be hired as a Lab Technician 1, 2, 3, or 4. Please see below a brief description of each position.
Lab Technician 1
Responsible for preparing and dispensing culture media into vessels according to the production plan.
Maintain an organized and sterile workstation and safety procedures.
Lab Technician 2
Responsible for micropropagation (cutting) of in vitro plant material as directed while maintaining productivity targets and standards.
May work with plants that have higher value and critical purpose that require more diligent care and attention.

Lab Technician 3
Responsible for recording data of all activities (time, # of containers used/made, # plants planted) and of observations in proper logs.
Assist with stocking the transfer room with supplies, printing labels, scanning production vessels and shipping.
Lab Technician 4
Will gain thorough understanding of the transfer room and processes and operations.
Select plants and media as directed and set them up in the transfer room, making them available for other technicians to use.
Accurately scan, collect data, and register plants into the proper logs and database to ensure that all information is complete and correct in a timely manner.
Assist with training of new employees.

Ability to sit for working periods of time and wear PPE (lab coat, face masks, gloves, etc.) all day.

The ability to work in a clean environment with limited access to the outdoors.
